PERSONAL FAVORITE – We’ve been eating lunch some at the Panini Café which is in Total Fitness Center on Semora Road.  They have breakfast and lunch and have some great soup and sandwich combos.  It’s an immaculately clean place and great food.  Stop by and try their homemade chicken salad.

Flat River Café – Hurdle Mills Market and Butcher Shop is one of our favorite place to go.  They have daily specials and on Tuesdays, they have two big pork chops with real creamed potatoes and gravy.  The market has a favorite of mine which is a N.C. beer.  Carolina Brewery in Pittsboro brews several micro beers and my favorite is Sky Blue.  You can buy that by the growler which is ½ gallon. Fridays are seafood day at the café and Thursdays are Fried Chicken day.  It doesn’t matter which day you go they have something good to eat and the market has fresh items and many hard to find.

Discounts!  If you are over 55, you can get 10% off on Tuesdays at Southern States and on Wednesdays at Roses! Be sure to tell them you are over 55 in case you don’t look your age like me!

ADVISORY – Don’t forget that the time “springs” forward one hour this Saturday night as we transition to Daylight Savings Time.
