ADVISORY – The Roxboro Police Department
reports that there have been some check card scams this week.
Most seem to be connected to Wal-Mart and Murphy gas where a check
card was used. People are seeing large sums deducted from their
checking account so if you don’t have online banking, you better
check your account today!
There is reportedly a gang initiative where a
baby seat is left on side of the road and if you stop to check it out,
you may be attacked. If you see something on the side of the
road that is suspicious, call the authorities and let them check it
out!
Be aware that as of Dec. 1, 2009 there is a ban
on cell phone texting while driving so pass up that urge to text
while driving!
