LOCAL BUSINESS -  Hyco Rental available for long term rentalif you have a need for a rental on Hyco Lake or know someone who is looking, click this link for more info.  I’ve seen several Force Protection people in town so they may be looking for somewhere to stay!

The lot being worked on beside DreamWorks Motorsports on the Blvd we hear is going to have O’Reilly’s Auto Parts and Pizza Hut as tenants.  There’s a major underground culvert there so that is the reason for all the excavation and piping.

-         Club V2 at Vesuvio’s II in uptown Roxboro is having a Bash Friday night with DJ Josh.  DJ Josh is also there Saturday night.  This is a brand new venue that opened last weekend.  If you haven’t stopped by, do so this weekend.  They have really added a lot of equipment and have a nice setup.  (Try their Vesuvio’s burger – best, fresh hamburger I’ve found lately!)

Check the Weds edition of the Courier=Times for more Halloween related events.

Put on your schedule Friday Nov. 14 and Saturday Nov. 15 for the Personality Festival in Uptown Roxboro.  See the flyer at this link for the schedule and all the rides, food and entertainment.  This year it is bigger and better than ever and has something for every age kid up to 99!

The Person County Tax Office and Register of Deeds has moved into their new building across the street from the Courthouse.  Formerly known as the Maxway building in Uptown Roxboro, they now have a real nice place so remember that when you have a need from their offices.  They also have a drop box out front.

Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour Saturday night as we switch to Eastern Standard Time.

Also, winterize your boat as the nightly lows are getting below freezing.  Unhook those water hoses from the house.  Get your heating systems checked out.  Close off any vents and windows.  Set those thermostats around 60 to keep pipes from freezing this winter or you’ll have a mess!
