I’ve been talking to several Realtors lately including Prudential Pointer & Associates Realty and they all think that rentals may be in higher demand with the home loan situation where loans are hard to obtain right now.  This is a good time to buy property low and use as rentals.

Also opening a day early on Thursday. http://www.ncstatefair.org/2008/  I go just to eat Big Al’s fresh cut French fries and the ham biscuits at the Church diners!  Many exhibits free with admission.  They also have several Park N Ride lots to save fighting the traffic.  NC State is home this Saturday also so that will double the traffic.

LOCAL FAVORITE – I frequently let you in on some of my personal favorites and this week it is the Annual Harvest Sale at Antioch Baptist Church.  Bonnie and I save freezer space for their stew and BBQ.  They also have baked goods and crafts.  Stew ready at 12.  That’s this Saturday, Oct. 18^th at the Church on Antioch Church Road in front of Palace Pointe.  I think they make almost 20 pots of stew so they know something about making Brunswick stew!

The Person County Tax Office and Register of Deeds has moved into their new building across the street from the Courthouse.  Formerly known as the Maxway building in Uptown Roxboro, they now have a real nice place so remember that when you have a need from their offices.  They also have a drop box out front.

This week, we are highlighting Prudential Pointer & Associates Realty.  I talked to all the agents a couple of weeks ago and they report that now is an excellent time to invest in real estate.  The prices are down maybe at their lowest point and there may never be a better time to shift money around to take advantage of the deals being offered.  After all, no more land and especially lake land is being made!  Last I heard there were about 77 lake properties for sale and the prices are right!
